I just woke up, and I feel worse than when I went to bed.

I woke up to stagger to the bathroom, on the way I realized I felt a lot worse than when I went to sleep. My mouth really hurt, so I look at my tongue in the mirror and notice it has been chewed up. There is nothing like that initial moment of realization, “I just had another [tag]seizure[/tag].”

Fortunately I was in bed lying down this time so I didn’t fall or get [tag]hurt[/tag]. The only thing I really remember is the first convulsion and waking up several hours later.

I finally sold out.

If you look around you will notice a few more [tag]changes[/tag] around the site as of late. That’s right I sold out and added Google ads to Stupid Hurts. Please do me a favor and click some of the links, It took me a while to hack all the code to get it to work correctly with my [tag]template[/tag].

The video is the band Reel Big Fish. I love them and it sums up the whole situation. My favorite part was the first ad I got back was “predict how you are going to die”

Magic City Scooters.

My friend Matt has recently had the [tag]grand[/tag] [tag]opening[/tag] of his [tag]scooter[/tag] [tag]shop[/tag] “Magic City Scooters“. Since I have known him forever, and I hang around the place all the the time. I made it a point to be there for the shop’s grand opening.

Back when we first met this is what the acme building looked like.

Since then, it has come an amazingly long way. Thanks to an amazing amount of work on his part to look like this.

It was really nice to see Matt bouncing around like a proud parent, shaking hands, and hugging people, while returning warms smiles and congratulatory handshakes.

The messenger bag group on Flickr

I haven’t really been up to much lately. But one of my favorite ways to pass [tag]time [/tag]and get ideas is the messenger bag group on [tag]Flickr[/tag]
Several of my bags are posted in there, as well of several other amazing works of [tag]art[/tag].

Share the road jerseys.

I found out today that one of the members on [tag]bike[/tag] forums has a personal website were he talks about [tag]cyclists[/tag] who have been killed or seriously injured by [tag]motorists[/tag]. His name is Corey Keizer, and the site is 15rides.blogspot.com. He has been hit by twice vehicles and he is working hard to raise awareness about cyclist [tag]rights[/tag]. I looked over his site and I really like what he is up. Since I have been looking for a third [tag]jersey[/tag] to round out my collection and I think I am going to go with the one available on his site. The jersey is $60 total and that’s about average for a good [tag]jersey[/tag], it also helps knowing the profits are going to cycling related charityies. The jersey is available here[newline]

Normally I don’t go out of my way to promote sites or products, but I think I will go ahead and push this one as much as possible. A few people already know that my dad had to give motorcycles and bicycles up after he was struck by a woman in a head on collision, because she drove off the express way through a fence and onto an access road. Leaving him in a [tag]coma [/tag]for three months a paralyzed for six months, just because she was trying to change a c.d.

Makes you feel safe doesn’t it?

I always wanted to be famous.

After spending more than 8 hours total in the [tag]hospital[/tag] on Friday, I learned something very important. I’m not dead yet. I don’t think I was all too sure of this fact before, but having a second opinion has left me feeling all sorts warm and fuzzy. Truthfully nothing really new was accomplished, the staff asked me the same battery of questions they asked on Tuesday, but I think the best part of the entire ordeal was when my doctor’s jaw dropped when he found out how much [tag]Topomax[/tag] actually cost retail.

After that I rushed across town to keep a second appointment with a new [tag]doctor,[/tag] and to deliver some [tag]medical[/tag] paperwork. That lead to more waiting and more testing. As the doctor read over my notes he spoke about a weird sense of deja-vu he got from them. Apparently he was one of the members of the board of neurology who was presented with my case several months ago when I was first admitted to the hospital and they originally couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. I always said I was going to be [tag]famous[/tag] one day, but this wasn’t exactly what I had in mind.

Leaving Cooper Green I passed these hospital beds being stored in the parking deck. I am curious to find out if they ran out of space, are they broken, or if this is just where they keep the“special” patients.

My head hurts even more now.

Fortunately I have managed to get one of several doctors appointments for the week out of the way. Now I just have the two more on Friday to deal with.

Unfortunately I called my lawyer to get several questions answered only to find out she was no longer employed by the company, and no one thought to inform me of this. While talking to a different lawyer she was able to answer several questions I had, but she also told me the expected turn around time on a disability case was 12-15 months, which is surprising considering it got denied originally in less than 3 weeks.

I thought my medical bills were only somewhere in the 30k range. My mom was nice enough to politely correct that notion last night. My expenses surpassed 100k so long ago we have since forgotten what it looked like as it whizzed past to become a dark smudge on the horizon.

I feel bad putting this kind of stress of mom, because even though she has not said much I know she has worked extremely hard in en effort to maintain some sort of quality of living for the both of us. I tried to help when I worked at the Yatch Club Feeding myself and what not. Even though it resulted in several smaller seizures at work. I am not sure what to do next. It just all feels really heavy all of a sudden.

A Small Nod

A few of my pictures are also hosted over in a Flickr account as well for a little more exposure. Today this picture received a Best Of Magic City nod.

Take a look at some of the other photos in that group, and you can see why I am proud of the distinction. Getting that also makes me want to get out and take increasingly better pictures.

Thanks.

Experiments in Applique

I started this [tag]messenger[/tag] [tag]bag[/tag] back in December. But unfortunately I was unable to find the last of the materials I needed to finish it until a few days ago. It is [tag]cotton[/tag] duck [tag]cloth[/tag] inside and out. The back is padded with 1 inch thick foam, and the bottom is 3 layers thick.

There are two lined dividers inside and one small velcro pocket.
In the front there are four pockets. The two center are bellows pockets, and the side are patch pockets. I also changed the strap up a little to this time to provide padding under the buckle.

This bag took a lot longer to make than usual because I tried to pay a lot more attention to detail on the smaller stuff. On the outer flap I used spray adhesive to glue the arrows down and then used a satin [tag]stitch[/tag] and variegated thread around the edge of each one. I also glued the top and bottom parts of the flap together before binding them with the white bias tape. I learned from my last bag I absolutely hate floating liners

Section edits

Since I am finally caught up on several projects and I intend on putting off several others till tomorrow. I have a few minutes of free time, so I re-read and edited The Porn store stories and moved the Basic Guide for Back Pack Fitting to its own page. Originally it was out of place and really hard to find, but I think moving it will help some.
