Last night in Mtl
Hey everyone! I’m postponing packing and making this travel blog to keep you updated as to my unfolding (and some might say distressingly immanent) holiday in Europe. Our flight leaves Dorval 9:40 pm on Thursday, June 12th, and I’m lucky enough to have 49 days of travel ahead. For those of you I haven’t talked to in a while, here’s the skeletal outline of the next month and a half:
-The rest of June with family in Yorkshire, England. Mom, Tom, Grandad and I will be staying in Skipton in a rented cottage. Planned excursions include a local medieval village and a few days’ solo travel in Scotland. I’m hoping to get to the Isle of Lewis where Granny was born. The last few days of June I’ll be in London, either hosteling or with friends.
-July = all aboard! I have a flexi rail pass to get me across continental Europe. Nothing’s set in stone, but right now the plan is Berlin - Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris - southern France - Venice
-Mid-July Dad and Linda are staying in our friend Clare’s flat. I’ll be joining them for part of their vacation, a chance to relax in one place for a little while until…
-Last leg: Italy - Patras - Delphi - Athens - Rome and then most likely back to France to wait out the end of the month.
There’s so much to do before we leave and I’m not really packed yet. Have a great time this summer and drop me a line. I’ll be updating when I can but with no compy I don’t know how often that will be. I’ll also be posting photos with my new camera, but as a non-techie I can’t promise that I can figure it all out.

PS Tell JazzFest I say hi.
