From Europe to China via Train

Every time I buy a new dictionary, I cross out the word itinerary. (By doing this I think I am one of 10 people on the face of the planet that can spell that word correctly, itenrary, itenerary, itanerary, etc)

Being flexible is usually quite rewarding. Initially I had planned to travel to China after returning to the US and buying a RT ticket to Hong Kong thus making my RTW a RTW in mileage but not in true form.

A week or two ago, I heard from a friend that a guy took the TransChina,TransMongolian and TransSiberian railroad to Europe. Brilliant! I had only vaguely thought of doing that like I think of going to Antartica, or doing a dozen travel related things. It must be expensive…wrong, only about 100 US one way in 3rd class.

7 days of heaven or hell depending on your perspective. So the next week is just dedicated ot making this happen.
