Preperation
Published by soonerchris at May 11th, 2009I know I have been neglecting to keep you updated on my preperation for my trip. But here is what I have so far.
I have my plane tickets!!!! It’s official I am actually going, no turning back now. Also, I just recieved a new digital camera for my birthday which will come in very handy while I am traveling. According to UPS I should also be recieving my backpack today. I am very excited for this. I bought the Osprey Waypoint 80 backpack. It even has a detachable day pack which will be awesome to have. My parents also went to the Container Store and picked up several really neat things that will help on my trip. They got these huge and super absorbent towels from Eagle Creek that fold up to take up almost no space at all. They also picked up a couple packing cubes and this really cool packet thing that holds like 12 shirts without getting them wrinkled. Of course I have to be looking good over there, who knows who I will meet on my travels.
As for the blog, I will try to update as much as possible between now and my departure. And of course while I am there, I will update daily with my activities and thoughts on the day.

Since this is the last week of my college career I have been super busy making sure that i graduate. So, a few things I still have to get:
Passport (I’m sending in my application next week)
A few things from magellans.com (a really cool travel website for anything you need)
Train tickets
Book my first few nights in the hostels
Travel books
I am so so so excited to go!!! Just over three months until I leave.
