First Attempt

This is my first attempt at a blog. Well this is untrue, I did start one for my studying abroad trip in London in 2005. However, it lasted probably the first two weeks until I got lazy. Hopefully this time around things will change.

Currently I am in the final stages of completing plans for my trip to Philadelphia and New York City May 5 - 10. I was going to go for Spring Break to NYC, thankfully I didn’t for the weather wasn’t very nice. Regardless this time around I am going for one main reason, Yankee Stadium. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a baseball fan, and I could care less about the Yankees, but the nostalgia behind Yankee Stadium makes me want to visit it. It will be destroyed after this season and the Yankees will be opening a new stadium that I believe is just across the street.

Here are my plans for the trip:
-Independence Hall, and that whole area of Philly.
-Flight of the Conchords show(tickets purchased!).
-Maybe a Phillies game, and if we’re lucky, we could come across a playoff game of the 76ers or Flyers.
-Although I wont have much time in NYC, hit the major tourist spots. Times Square/Statue of Liberty and such.

Thats about it, anything else extra would be fantastic. Hopefully all will work out, and I wont be getting stuck like the hundreds of thousands of people around the U.S. with their flights being grounded. However, I have already had one of my flights canceled, due to the folding of Skybus. So we’ll see!

Cheers,
Andrew
