Default London-Paris through Rail Europe

I've been trying to find the cheapest way to get from London to Paris, roundtrip in June. The train tickets weren't that much more expensive than Easy Jet and since this is my first solo Europe trip I would really love to see everything from the train.

I'm considering booking my trip through rail europe because the prices looked the cheapest, but as I was checking the total price I saw that they send you the tickets through the mail. I'm leaving the US on June 10, can US citizens purchase tickets through this sight and does that leave enough time for the tickets to get to me before I leave?

Also, if anyone has better advice for finding cheap tickets from London-Paris June 13-16 please let me know! I'm totally clueless.

The other thing is, the train will leave from the center of London and take you right into Paris, whereas with the planes you'll need to be outside of town. And when you factor in the time and what-not, its not really a bargain. Plus the train from London-Paris is really really nice.

US citizens can purchase tickets from there, I've done in twice in the past two years. The tickets usually come pretty quickly, but you might want to try to call them and see what they say.

Have you thought about not buying tickets in advance and just waiting until you got there? The trains run almost every hour or so I believe and its a pretty common route, I can't believe they'd all be sold out.

Good luck with everything and Happy Travels.

I paid 70 pounds for mine through the eurostar site like the day before and when I went to the station I got my tickets from a machine like they have at the airport when you check in

But dont be like me...I had stayed up all night the night before so I passed out on the train and slept through the whole chunnel experience! =[

Thanks for the advice! I'm definitely leaning towards waiting until I get there. I have a free place to stay for a good portion of the trip so even if I have to shell out a little bit extra at the last minute it'll totally be worth it.
