Air
Air France and many of other airlines link Paris with the world. Other French cities with international air links (mainly with Europe) include Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Strasbourg and Toulouse..
Flights between London and Paris can cost as little as UK£50 return; with the larger companies expect to pay at least UK£88.
Land
Britain
The highly civilised Eurostar (0870-518 6186 in the UK, 0836 35 35 39 in France) links London's Waterloo Station with Paris' Gare du Nord via the Channel Tunnel. The journey takes about three hours, not including the one-hour time change. Tickets for people aged 25 and under cost UK£45/75 one way/return; return fares booked 14/seven days ahead cost UK£69/80. Student travel agencies often have youth fares not available direct from Eurostar.
Eurotunnel shuttle trains (0870-535 3535 in the UK, 03 21 00 61 00 in France) whisk buses and cars (and their passengers) from near Folkestone to Coquelles (just west of Calais) in 35 minutes. The regular one-way fare for a car and its passengers ranges from UK£110 (February and March) to UK£180 (July and August). To take advantage of promotional fares you must book at least one day ahead.

Bus
Eurolines coach services (0836 69 52 52 in France) link France with other European countries.
Train
Paris, France's main rail hub, is linked with every part of Europe. Depending on where you're coming from, you sometimes have to change train stations in Paris to reach the provinces.
People aged 12 to 25 get significant discounts on the superfast Thalys trains that link Paris with Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne.
Sea
Ferry tickets are available from almost all travel agents.
