Teri, you may be competing with my mom for some kind of dubious record. At least make it a drinking game somehow...

thanks for the info I'll try to make it...since I only work three blocks away i have no excuse!

Ha teri you made me laugh with your enthusiasm! Yes I found myself crying watching it! Its good to watch a movie and totally relate to it. We are a different breed and go thru things that some people just dont understand. I;m making all my friends watch it too....just so they understand my mentality a little better. :)

I watched my copy today. It left me both happy and depressed.

It was different to what I thought it would be, more about people and less about places.

Worth checking out.

buy it! It's a movie you'll want to watch over and over again!

I second that. It's an amazing movie!

Oh yes the movie is more about the people and the experience than the actual places but really isn't that half of what the journey is?

Yeah I think I'm going to have to buy it; I just hope it is as epic as everyone has said it is! And I definitely think the people and the experience is one of the most important things!! :D

Haven't seen him post in a while, I hope he's barricaded himself in an editing room to work on his Africa movie :)

Yeah, I think Brooke pops in here everynow and then, which is waaay cool, but is also on lots of other travel boards as well... Smart.... And I can't wait for the next offering from him!
As for Map for Saturday, I've probably let atleast 15 friends borrow this movie, and they all love it, and even a few tears from non backpackers!!
Buy it and enjoy and support the culture:)

Awesome movie! I bought it a couple of months after I got back from my Euro Trip and it reminded me of the backpacker feeling. Definitely worth every penny !

I still havnt watched it yet!! I really want to get it, but because its coming from the states its region 1, and my laptop is locked into region 2 - I suck with things like this! But yeah, I definitly need to watch it.

You should be able to play it on your laptop Mish, and probably on your dvd player.

If you can't it's just a matter of finding the unlock code for your dvd player.

I have one dvd series from the states it doesnt play on my laptop. Which is a total bummer. I might just buy it though and try it, if not I will wait till I get back to SA to sort something out

I tried the other dvds and they dont work on that. Oh well.

However - I just ordered my copy! If it doesnt work then I will find a way to make it work, ive been wanting to watch this for ages...now I have to be patient and wait for it t o arrive.

Wow, it came really quickly. Im gonna watch it asap!

EDIT:

Ok, that was amazing!! The 73 year old is a rockstar. Im now really looking forward to the Africa one.
