5 weeks backpacking in Turkey, and the Orient, Istanbul, was EASILY the worst experience by FAR. Booked over the internet and paid a deposit - when we arrived late at night they disclaimed all knowledge of our booking and were extremely unhelpful despite the fact that they were far from full anyway. The room was FILTHY, the door didn't lock, the shower was cold, there was a sink in the room which drained directly onto the carpet, it was noisy, one of the staff was SLEAZY+++ Need I go on....

Do yourself a favour and avoid the place!!

How about Lamps B&B Istanbul

Like you had nothing but an awesome time in Turkey until coming across this dive. Arrived there to have a drink with fellow travellers to which the owner decides to drink with us after. Getting drunk decides he hates me and all other Australians due to Gallipoli 1915 (WTF get over it). Then decides to yell out that he hates his wife and starts yelling it out.

After all this me and and a boy from England decide to talk while hıs gırlfriend goes to bed to hear her screaming cause he is trying to go in her room so the boyfriend runs down to find him running off.

Next day me and another Australian get kicked out then after an arguement get our money back that he is trying to screw us on.

After travelling with the English couple during the day they go back to find her underwear gone through.

So take your chances but be warned the guy is a prick.
