Don't stay at Sibigo Guest House! When you arrive at Parapat on Lake Toba to take the ferry to Samosir, beware of the small guy with one blue eye and one brown eye. He gave us a room for 15,000 rupiah at Sibigo Guest House in Tuk Tuk. The following day the entire hostel was thrown out on the first day of Chinese New Year because "the Chinese were coming". He said that someone had booked our room already. Then he said we could pay 100,000 rupiah to stay another night. When we challenged him he said he knew how to fight westerners.

Sorry old thread, but this had me rollin. The guy with one brown eye and a blue eye!? If I were to ever go there, that'd be hard to forget and you couldn't miss him. Sounds like a nightmare though.
