Trip to Thailand

Hi ValWarren!

The full moon party was the most crazy party i have ever experienced! about a mile+ of bars each and everyone playing different music and everyone is completely off thier rockers. I had an ace time!
If youre not used to crazy parties and people being off thier face then it could be a bit shocking, but its fun none the less - well at least taking the mickey out of passed out people is

a couple of points tho:
Be prepared to loose your friends - so decide on a meeting point at 5am or whenever youre heading home
Do not take a bag - you will loose it or at least some contents through pick pockets or just being wasted.

We stayed on a great resort called the Coral Bungalows on Ko Pen ghan, right on the beach, they have both apartments and bungalows,a huge bar, movies every night, extensive food menu, funny bar staff, and beautiful sunsets - and cheap rates too!
The resort is on the other side of Had Rin on Sunset beach (so no burglaries) and is about a 15 min walk to the party.
I do recommend this place as you can see :D

Have an awsome time, if you need to know anything else just PM me

Hi Claire, cheers for the info, looked up Coral, looks nice alright! Will probably try for somewhere a bit cheaper though, I'm in Thailand for a month and heading straight to Oz for a year after that so budget's tight!

Really really really can't wait for the Full Moon Party, and I'm no stranger to big raves either back home so it'd take a lot to shock me to be honest;)

Would love to bring my camera along though, good idea or just too risky??

Cheers again, Val:cheers:

Hey Val

It all depends on how :insane: you get to be honest.

I took a camera and an off the shoulder bag, and although i didnt loose anything i did spend the whole time clutching onto it for dear life so it ruined my dance moves somewhat.. bummer! lol People do get touchy feely and you do have to force your way through crowds so i know next time i wouldnt risk spending the whole time being paranoid and just enjoy dancing.

I did take a couple of pics however, but not as many as i'd hoped due to my party head ;)

I understand about being skint as you're moving onto Oz.. ive just come back from a holiday there am currently saving up and also plan to move there at the end of this year... Hope you have an amazing trip!:D

I dont want to thread jack, but I purchased tickets to Thailand yesterday. I leave May 7th-30th. Im spending one night in Tokyo on the 8th. Ill be in Bangkok on the 9th. Anyone want to meet up? :cheers:Hit me up!

Yeah its my first trip to Asia. My plans aren't concrete. Bangkok for a few days, then Chiang Mai, and then end up in the Phuket region. I still need to do some more research and planning.

Thailand is known as an eco-adventure destination by travelers since the seventies, when backpackers came across the jungle trek tours in the north of the kingdom. Treks are most popular in northern Thailand due to the beauty of nature.
